On it's own, SunGard DX is a powerful web-based communication portal and document repository.  You don't need a back office system to use SunGard DX.  The SunGard DX toolset provides everything to take you from document preparation to delivery of the documents to clients.

Start with the SunGard DX File Parsing Utility to split your merged documents into individual files to facilitate the posting of investor specific file attachments to SunGard DX. This application performs two primary functions:

• Parsing a merged PDF file into individual PDF files and placing the files into a ZIP file.
• Parsing a merged Microsoft Word file into individual Word files, converting the individual Word files to PDF files, and placing the files into a ZIP file.

The ZIP files generated by the SunGard DX Desktop Application are ready for uploading to the DX console, where the contents of the ZIP file are extracted and posted to specific investors based upon the naming convention of the files and a predefined mapping of fund and investor IDs in SunGard DX.

Once your documents are uploaded to the web portal, they are marked with a draft status, ready for your organization’s review and approval process. SunGard DX’s email notification feature makes it easy to notify reviewers of ready documents. When a document is ready for client distribution, you can mark it with an approved status and use the email notification to inform clients.
