Portfolio Monitoring Data Rooms

Use Data Exchange as a data room to facilitate communication between all stakeholders of the Firm, i.e., portfolio companies, investment teams, investor relations, and the back office. With Data Exchange, fund managers can create an online archive consisting of all correspondence related to the portfolio companies such as investment memos and approvals, legal documents, valuation models, capitalization tables, and financial statements.

The typical workflow begins with the Fund Manager building an index of portfolio company information, then converting the existing physical deal cabinet into digital images, and finally uploading the documents to the data room. After the initial set up, the fund manager can continue to own the responsibility of updating the data room with new documents as they become available, or the fund managers can grant direct access to the portfolio companies who in turn will publish documents to the data room. Once new updates are added to the data room, all stakeholders are immediately notified through a Data Exchange email alert.
